Rub a Dub Charlie’s Angel in the Tub is a music-driven project by FAMEME, created in collaboration with Taiwanese rapper Chunyan in 2021. Centered around Charlie, a taxi driver, the project turns an often-overlooked urban figure into a pop narrative shaped by the conditions of the pandemic.

 

Through rap music, role-play, and character-based visuals, Charlie appears as a driver moving through the gaps of the city—briefly carrying the emotions and companionship of strangers. Playful, repetitive, almost nursery-rhyme-like lyrics reframe everyday rhythms, allowing music to seep into public life during a time of uncertainty, becoming a medium for emotional circulation and urban imagination.
